Kathryn's Open House

This weekend we celebrated Kathryn's (Dean's sister) High School Graduation.  She had a nice open house on Saturday.

The kids were very excited to see his cousins Liberty and Ruthie, they played hard all day:

Owen played so hard that he tried taking a nap on the swing with the girls...

Grandma Nancy was happy to see the girls too!

Sophie had fun playing with the kids, she spent a lot of time in the swing

She also had fun strutting her stuff in her pretty dress

Oh, and she liked the meatballs too...

The whole family was thrilled to welcome home Uncle Brian  (a Fulbright Scholar who just returned from conducting research in the country of Moldova) and his girlfriend Bailey.  We always have a great time when they're around, its just hard that they could only be around for two days.  We miss them already!

Bailey was in charge of the picture boards chronicling Kathryn life thus far- they were really fun to look at!

Owen was super excited that Ma Mai and Ta Tai are home again.  They recently returned from their house in Romania.  Owen even got to dress like Ta Tai and that is "pretty cool".

All of Kathryn's Nieces and Nephew were very proud of her...

So were her brothers and sister...

Mom worked really hard to have the house ready for the open house and everything looked really great! It was very obvious how much she loves her daughter

Jim worked extremely hard to get the house ready for the party as well.

Although Dean was absent for most of the day because he had to work the Parade of Homes, he was able to come at the end to give his little sister a big hug.  Do you think these two are related?

Its not very often where all of the Adams siblings and their sig. others are together all at once so we had to get it documented!

I was very thankful at the end of the night to have my husband around (many thanks to his dad for relieving him so he could join us at the party).  Its been a very long two months of him either being laid up or working late.  And now the Parade is Over- Hooray!
