Waikiki, Oahu, Hawaii

We are Going to Hawaii

The Beginning of the 9 1/2 hour Plane Ride to Hawaii (from Chicago)

Owen did great on the plane ride. We were lucky and there were some empty seats by us, so Owen even got his own seat for awhile.

We got to Oahu and went straight to the beach and Owen loved it... he didn't even eat it!

Owen's big BLUE EYES catch everyone's attention.

Grandma, Grandpa and Owen had a fun time on the beach too...

Here we are all dressed up and ready to go out to dinner. You can see Diamond Head in the background, we are standing on the balcony of our hotel room.

After Dinner that night we had to let Owen strut his stuff on the busy streets of Waikiki. Everyone kept stopping and taking pictures of him because of how cute he looked in his Hawaiian outfit. There will be alot of pictures of Owen in Japan... those Japanese tourists couldn't get enough of him.

We were selected as "guests of the day" when we checked in. This got us alot of perks, an upgrade to a suite with a great view and tickets for a Catamaran ride. Here are some pictures of our ride.

While in Hawaii Owen discovered alot of different foods. Most appropriately he leaned to eat pineapple

Grandma had alot of influence... she even got us to let Owen go diaperless on the beach

Here are some shots of us climbing Diamond Head

For footage of going up these stairs, click here

Before we left Oahu I wanted to show everyone the amazing views we had from our hotel room balcony. Here's Waikiki and Diamond Head during the day...

and at night...

Wow! What a great time for all of you!
Little Owen is not only a world class traveler, he is an underwater mini-olympian swiimer!
Bring the sunshine back home with you!
