New Orleans

On Valentines Day weekend we ventured to New Orleans to deliver Uncle Brian his valentine hug in person. The trip started with a bit of a delay at the airport and because of this, saving Owen's nap for the plane ride didn't quite work out. So, Owen learned how to nap in his stroller.

Uncle Brian was a great tour guide and we had a blast hanging out with him. Here are the boys in front of his house which was in a great area. We were close to the garden district and to Magazine St... Brian's favorite place to hang out.

On our first day there we ventured over the bridge to Terrytown. We were there hunting down Mom and Dad's house that they lived in back when Ryan, Alan and Jason were born. It took us a while, but we finally found it. It was in great shape!

As I mentioned earlier, Owen learned how to sleep in his stroller at the airport. This skill became especially important for the rest of the trip. The three days we were there started at 9 am and finished at 9 pm, without a trip back to the hotel for Owen's nap. He was amazingly good all day as long as he got to ride in his stroller. He loves to pull himself all the way forward and pump his legs as if he were on a horse... its really funny!

Owen is currently working on his walking skills and we had to let him walk on the famous streets of New Orleans. Here he is walking with Grandpa on Decatur St in the French Quarter.

While Owen was busy walking up and down the French Quarter we booked a tour bus to take us on a tour of the city and also on a tour to see the remaining devastation of Katrina. The bus ride was extremely interesting, Owen even enjoyed it...

On our last day we enjoyed some sunshine and a nice walk along the riverwalk.
