Yes, its true.... I turned 30 on Sunday. I was known to make fun of people turning 30 a few years ago, and now, here I am. Being 30 isn't that bad. Its given me time to be in a wonderful marriage, have two beautiful kids and a career that I love. No complaints here.
Owen and Sophie made me a full size card while I slept Sunday morning |
In honor of my birthday we joined some family for dinner at Apache Trout grill. We had a really great time!
The celebration continued after dinner at La Senorita, quite appropriately I must add. Growing up, we celebrated many a birthdays at La Senorita... " Daaa du daa du da da, Kings and Queens and Princes too...." We enjoyed their Margaritas, then some desert made special for us by Aunt Kathryn- thanks KLA, those freshly baked cookies were amazing!
We missed my mom and dad, but are happy that they are enjoying some much deserved time away together.
I was also overwhelmed with phone calls, facebook shout-outs and text messages- thanks everyone for thinking of me!
Last Thursday I joined some girl friends for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in TC- Red Mesa Grill. Special thanks go out to Mackenzie for making all of the arrangements.
One of the birthday presents I bought myself was a $5 accessory to my camera- a remote. I have been wanting an updated family picture so before heading to dinner we took advantage of the beautiful weather and "remotely" took some pictures. My other birthday present to myself was a new professional curing iron- and as you can see- I am really enjoying it.
We really got some cute ones, here are my favorites...
Owen and Daddy were blinking in this photo, but I just love Sophie's expression... |
Owen "took" this one- not bad huh? |
