Our First Christmas at Evergreen

This Christmas was especially wonderful. We spent it for the first time in our new home, with our wonderful children and extended family.  On Christmas Eve we celebrated the birth of Jesus @ Central United Methodist.  They held a kids service that was really great, even involving the kids in a live Manger scene.  Owen and his cousin Bea got to be sheep- and they loved it.

Here we are at church, up in the balcony (back in the day, the original Plum Family always used to sit up there)

Little Miss Sophie all dressed up in her Red dress (thanks to cousin Ally for letting us borrow all of her 3-6 month Christmas outfits)

Owen and Bea will always hug on cue...

Owen did a great job doing his part in the manger scene.  He sat down and was very quiet... we were very impressed!

These pictures don't do Sophie justice, she was so darn cute in her Christmas dress and new fury overcoat from Ma Mai and Ta Tai!

After church its time for PJ's!  I had a little fun with Sophie... Remember the PJ's she wore last year?  Well, they still fit!  That's right, she got to wear mommy's Christmas Jammies from 1980 again!

Christmas Day arrived and we had to wake our kids up... not kidding.  Owen would have slept in until 9:30 had we not gotten him moving.  What a crazy kid, but boy do we love him!

The Madison Plums joined us for gift time as well.  Santa was so smart and delivered all of their gifts to Grandma and Grandpa's house, so they got to open presents while we did!

Cousin Bea is so cute!

Sophie and Charlie enjoyed Owen's new bean bag (minus the cover).  Aren't they cute?

Grandma Nancy and the gang came over in the afternoon for dinner.  Mom brought a prime rib... more on that later.  First, its time to cuddle with Sophie...

Aunt Kathryn had to get in on the cuddling too!

Sophie got to dress up again so Grandma Nancy could see her in her Christmas dress.

Vavore (Great Grandma May) got to help Sophie eat some lunch

Back to the Prime Rib.  So, we have this fancy new grill, but we really haven't had the guts to try the rotisserie option on it... until now.  I have to say it is pretty cool.  Now that we got the jitters out we tried a rotisserie chicken... it was sooooo good.  We will definitely be using the rotisserie a lot!

It was so cool that we stood around watching it go for quite a while...

Santa brought me a new wide angle lens for my camera this year.  I got to put it to use for this shot of our Prime Rib dinner.  Pretty cool.  It will be especially useful when I take pictures of Dean's houses...
