Labor Day Weekend Extravaganza

Labor Day Weekend was absolutely awesome. The entire Plum Family was together at the Compound for the first time. We all had a wonderful time, especially watching all 10 cousins thrive together.

Do you think Sophie was having a good time?

She especially liked hanging out with GREAT Aunt Mary- we all love having her around

Earlier in the week Grandma Nancy joined us for a picnic lunch on the boat to wish off Uncle Brian and Bailey

On Saturday night we all had a nice dinner and then the kids played in the front yard. We also celebrated Uncle Jason's Birthday. Here's "the Big Kids" all sitting at the picnic table

After dinner I put on my telephoto lens and got some closeups of the kids. I only got shots of 7 out of 10 cousins, but the one's I got are really cute. Elliott, Jenson and Owen eluded my camera... next time I'll get them.

Here are the close-ups of the kids, I'll start with the oldest....

SIMON (he turns 4 in two weeks!)

Emily

Allory

Beatrice

Drew

Charlie

Sophie

A quick little note on Sophie... she started sitting up on her own and started crawling this week- too fun!

On Sunday Night we all went boating. Simon and Emily went tubing, and the other kids cheered then on...

Owen, ofcourse, wanted to drive...

This week Owen has really gotten to LOVE tubing. We've even taught him the hand signals to tell Daddy if he wants to go faster or slower. Because he has been doing so well we made a little video. (I just discovered how to convert my videos for viewing on-line, so hopefully you'll be seeing more videos from now on... enjoy)

To end this post here is, what has been, a pretty typical sunset the last two weeks. The weather has been unbelievable and the sunsets have been amazing. Owen will tell you the water is pink every night around sunset.

What fun to see all the fun you've been having at your new home and to see all those cute little cousins! The pictures and comments generated a lot of smiles from us.

Owen is looking like quite the pro as he tubes, and Sophie looks like a very happy beach baby. Can't wait until next summer when we can get Audrey down to our beach. Hope she likes the water and sand as much as Owen and Sophie.

It was also great to see Brian and his lovely girlfriend. Congratulations to him for his Fullbright. That will be a fascinating year for he and Bailey. A whole different culture and area of the world along with his research. The Adams brothers have certainly accomplished a lot in your chosen careers. Congrats to you both!

We're looking forward to more Audrey, Ann, and Jan time when we head out to DC in a few weeks. We've rented an apt. quite close to them and are looking forward to babysitting duty for them come Jan., though we certainly don't mind filling in when they want some "date" time either. Actually, we kind of encourage it so that we can spoil Audrey on our own. It is a grandparent's duty we tell them.

We are so happy that the dr. was able to find out what has been causing Sophie's breathing problem and could help you set a plan to help her. Though I didn't let you know, we have been keeping her and you in our thoughts and wishing the very best for her.

Thanks so much for sharing the wonderful pictures and updates. We enjoy them a lot. The best to all of you and take care. Peg and Dick
