Al, Kim, Simon and Elliott were here while the Fair was going on. The kids had a great time...
Sophie is really enjoying the water. She will sit and play in the water for a long time, she especially likes to try and eat sand...
Owen has discovered how much fun the raft can be...
Grandma Gail introduced Sophie to her first riding toy, and she loved it!
OK, couldn't resist this picture...
A quick update on Sophie. Thanks to everyone who has been thinking about us. We did have our appointment with a Pediatric Pulmonologist this past Friday. We were at the hospital most of the day having tests done, but all went very smoothly. We were able to officially rule out Cystic Fibrosis and Aspiration as the cause of her fast breathing. So what does that mean? With cardiac issues already being ruled out with a normal heart ultrasound, it means that reactive airway disease (Asthma) is the likely cause of her respiratory issues. So, we have an action plan to follow as we head into the fall and winter and we will follow up with them again this January. We will be aggresive with her nebulizer steroid treatments and start albuterol treatments as soon as she shows any symptoms of illness.
This past weekend was very special. Dean's brother Brian and his girlfriend Bailey came to stay with us. We really had a great time hanging out with them. On Saturday we had the entire Adams Family over for a BBQ. I can't believe it, but I didn't get a picture of everyone. The weather was awful (59 degrees and raining), but we made the most of it. We even went skiing and swimming in the rain! Brian and Bailey left today and it was a hard goodbye. Brian, a Fulbright Scholar, will be leaving for Moldova (a country next to Romainia) to study Tuberculosis for a year. We won't be seeing them until next June! We'll miss you B&B!!!
Owen had alot of fun with Brian and Bailey around. He even helped Bailey put on her makeup on Sunday morning...
For their last night in TC we celebrated by drinking wine and having s'mores around the campfire. It was really a great night, with a beautiful sunset.
Owen got "special privledges" and got to hang out with us by the fire. He even got to read his bed time story by the fire. He was a very good boy and sat in his chair, just like daddy and Uncle Brian...
