The Adams Family: Family Weekend in Charlevoix

Ok, so this weekend was a little crazy. Take 5 Plum Siblings, their 5 spouses and their combined 6 kids (with 4 more due this winter and spring), Mom and Dad (grandma and grandpa) and Grandma Beth (Great Grandma Beth) and things are bound to get interesting.

You would have thought that it would be absolutely overwhelming, but I'm going to reserve those words for next year, when there are 10 little Plum Cousins running around. This weekend was pure FUN! We all met up at the Charlevoix Cottage (where my brothers and I grew up with our cousins) and spent the weekend together. My mom had wonderful activities and meals planned... it was just awesome!

The first activity of the weekend was pumpkin decorating. She bought all the kids a Mr. or Mrs. Pumkin head kit that we helped them assemble. Here's Owen with his Scary Monster Pumkin.

After Pumpkin decorating it was off to Friske Orchards. We had a fun time petting the animals, playing in the maze and riding the tractor (Owen's favorite) around the farm.

No trip to the orchard is comlete without donuts and cider.... After being at Friskes for only a few minutes, all four pregnant Plum Sisters wound up in the donut line. This was not planned, just a happenstance that I thought was very funny!

After all six kids napped, we dressed them all up in their Halloween Costumes for some fun photo ops. Here is a sneak peek of "Owen the Tiger"... A little history- this costume was originally made by my mom for my brothers and it has been passed down throughout the whole family. There are pleny of different versions of this tiger in the photo albums. That makes it even more special that Owen gets to wear it!
