Cedarville is becoming one of the most cherished weekends of the year as we have been up there the last 3 years in a row. Each year we have a blast. Here's this years group... Imagine all 14 of us staying in a little two bedroom cabin. No, really, its a blast! Some stayed in their own "condos" (a.k.a. tents), most slept on mattresses on the floor and a few got beds. Sometimes having the only baby in the group gets you some perks, and this weekend it was the master bedroom.
Anyway, this is the annual sunset picture.

The real fun began for us on Saturday morning. Owen got to go around and wake everyone up. Here he is waking up Uncle Mike and Aunt Lindsay...

After breakfast it was time for some boating. We had a nice cruise through the Les Cheneux Islands but after that we has some boating trouble. Ben and Jenna's boat wasn't acting right so we towed them into Hessel and ate lunch at the local bar.

This didn't keep us from having a great time. Some of the boys were even brave enough to jump in the cold waters of Lake Huron flowing in near Hessel. Brian is actually holding on to his very cold and hard nipple... yeah, it was cold.

Here is Brian after his brute force ripped our noodle in half. I'm really glad to post this picture because its a picture with Brian actually WEARING his swimming suit. Later in the day he lost that swimming suit while tubing. That, unfortunately, I only caught on video camera. Someday, when I get time, I'll post that on You Tube.

After lunch all 14 of us jumped in our boat and we took ride. Owen fell asleep so we had an hour of chill time. Here's a shot of him sleeping in his boat bed underneath the bow canvas.

When Owen woke up it was time for some water sports. Our sport of choice this day was wake surfing. This is a relatively new thing for us, so it was fun to experiment with it. Pretty much, you sit everyone on the same side of the boat, go about 10 miles an hour and surf in the large wake behind the boat.

After everyone went surfing we blew up the tubes and pulled four of the guys. The highlight, as I eluded to earlier, was when Brian lost his suit. The funniest thing is he didn't let go, he just hung on and told us to stop the boat. Amazingly we found his suit floating a little ways away. But before we got to it, we all got a little white show.

After our abs recovered from laughing so hard we headed back to the cabin, chilled out and took some pictures. Here are some nice shots from that night...

To end this post I must include an entertaining poem written by Jason Horton. Normally, this is a very family friendly blog site, but I'm going to break the rules and include this. Parental guidance is recommended.
Cedarville two thousand and eight
The weekend I thought would be first rate
Had a condo to sleep in away from the mass
Didn’t wake up early or smell Ben’s ass
Drank beer and sat by the fire at night
Things got fuzzy and I lost my sight
Ate burgs, gazed at the moon and stayed up too latey
Had cake and white magic for my boy P and smiling Katie
Broke the boat, went to the Islander and played Keno
Had double talls and pate w/ the man Deano
But the last day in the sun there was a surprise
A dark storm cloud in my brain would be the demise
Relaxing in the boat and my eyes went blinky
For on the Tube of giggle popped out a winky
There was lots of shrieking and fear from the boy Owen
He and I were seeing things that should not have be shown
It was a white out like snow in a nasty storm
And it was obvious the water wasn’t too warm
From that point on my life will never be the same
Hall’s shitake mushroom is definitely to blame.
Not sure if I can give my seal of approval on this Holiday
As that sight in my brain will never, ever go away.
And Now, a video rendition.
