Just a quick FYI: I haven't had internet at my house the past couple of weeks and that combined with Dean switching his office over to Apple Computers (and needing some help with that) has kept me from updating my blog as well as normal, so I posted 4 posts tonight, be sure to check them all out:)
Venetian 2010 was another wonderful weekend to this fantastic summer we are having. We spent a lot of time on the water and enjoyed some pretty amazing fireworks displays. It was also great to see a lot of family.

Our weekend started on Thursday for "Kids Day". Sophie was a little young for most of the activities, but Owen really had a great time riding the ponies, jumping in bounce arenas and having a balloon hat made.

Friday was a cloudy in the morning but cleared for a little pool time in the afternoon. I wish I had a video of how great the kids swam, jumping off the wall and smimming to the stairs. Both Owen and Sophie did great! We were busy in the water with them, so no pictures, but I did manage to get a few shots of some cousins swimming. All of the kids did great!

Friday night we headed out on the boat to enjoy the Beatles Tribute concert and then the traditional fireworks display over Lake Charlevoix.

Saturday rained most of the day, but lucky for us Ma Mai and Ta Tai have a nice boat for napping kids and staying dry. The kids took a great nap while the rain passed over and we enjoyed a phenominal evening on the boat and another unbelievable fireworks show.... really, it was pretty amazing. The sky looked like grey velvet that evening and made for a great back drop for some nice photos:

Do you think we were having fun? |
We spent the night with Ma Mai and Ta Tai on the boat and woke up on the water- there is nothing better than that! Sunday was the best weather day of the weekend, but its the day that I took the fewest pictures, oh well.

Sophie was reading People Magazine and learning how to be "Single and Mingle" |
What I didn't take pictures of was a nice wave jumping boat ride on Lake Michigan (there were big swells that the kids loved), a lunch at the Landing in Ironton with Ma Mai and Ta Tai and a wonderfully relaxing afternoon with the DeWildt clan on the East Arm of Lake Charlevoix.
