Easter Weekend

Our First Easter as a Family of Four

Our Easter Weekend was really exciting because Dean's brother Brian and his sister Audrey came home to meet Sophie for the first time. We had some nice family time- it was great to catch up with everyone!

Owen got to color eggs for the first time, he really did enjoy it. Coloring eggs was so great the "O" face came out of retirement.

Egg hunts have been on hiatus the last couple of years in the Adams Family, but the tradition is back now that the kiddos are around. Owen held is own when it came to finding some eggs...

he even helped Daddy and Brian find some!

This weekend was also the first time we got all four of the Adams cousins together

Its been years time since all four siblings were together at the same time- what fun!

And ofcourse- the Grandma's were in their glory with all of their grandchildren together

On Easter Sunday we had brunch at the Country Club. Some of the Plums joined us, along with some of the Adams clan. It was Dean's Dad's birthday this week so it was fun to be with him! It was a very nice spread. We even got a special visit from the Easter Bunny. Some 2 year olds may be scared of the Easter Bunny- but not Owen. He was more like the Easter Bunny Stalker. He kept following him around hoping he'd get more candy filled eggs.

What would we do without cousins? Here's Ally and Owen looking pretty

Sophie and Drew. I know its hard to tell who's bigger. Drew is weighing in at 16+ pounds, Sophie is weighing in at just over 11 pounds.

Our Sweet little Sophie has had a rough week. On Easter Sunday she was three days into what probably would have been just a normal cold for most kids. Unfortunately we are learning that Sophie's lungs aren't able to tolerate little colds without going into full out bronchospasms, which the doctors are warning us is probably Asthma. Normally asthma is not something diagnosed until the age of 2, but we have been discussing it a lot at the doctors office this week. As some of you may know Deano has quite the history of asthma growing up and even struggles with it still today. We are worried that Soph will be much the same way. Listening to your 3.5 month old wheeze and cough is very unsettling, but I am fortunate enough to take care of sick infant lungs for a living and I know that on the spectrum of sick children Sophie is still very healthy. I am happy to say that she has started to improve as of this writing. But still, because of her curiously fast respiratory rate since birth and her struggle with fighting typical viral infections- we are hoping to get her in to see a Pediatric Pulmonologist. The consult is written- we'll see how long it takes to get in. For now we are on daily steroid nebulizer treatments which is great exuse for some extra cuddle time. And who wouldn't want to cuddle her?
